Script alterations

On the 24th of February I went and did a radio workshop with Jo Tyler. We discussed what I had produced for my script so far. We discussed what she thought worked, and what she thought the script would benefit from.

She recommended listening to Under Milk Wood by Dylan Thomas, as there was not establishing descriptors in my script.

I have listened to this and will look into putting an opening descriptive segment in my script to enable the readers to place themselves within the story.

She also recommended listening to the Samuel Pepys drama adaptation. I've registered for BoB online to listen to it, because BoB has a large compilation of radio shows that aren't available online anywhere else.

Jo also suggested some smaller changes to make, such as taking out the sound of heart beating, because it's cheesy, and adding actors directions so that the actors will have some knowledge of how to act the scene. She also suggested that when I've written silence as part of my script that I write in how long I want there to be silence for.

I also registered for freesound.org, and Jo suggested the BBC sound catalogue, so I can collect potential sound effects, especially ones I might have difficulty recording myself.

Jo showed me around the radio studio again, and we ran through the process of recording.
